Born on the West Coast of Scotland, I moved to the North East of England in 1999 and I’ve been here ever since! I am based in North Shields where I live with my husband and our two dogs.
I’ve been beading since 2010. It all started for me with a kit I bought at a bead fair using a mysterious technique called ‘beadweaving’. Based purely on the fact that I liked the look of the finished project, off I went. I persevered with the tricky stitches and beads and thread, and ever since I have been totally hooked.
Loving these new techniques, I taught myself more bead weaving stitches using books and magazines. My hobby took off and my jewellery collection has grown and grown! My self confidence also developed and I started playing and designing my own pieces and after a few years my small business was born.
I’m rarely found without a beading needle in my hands these days. Honestly, I feel lost without some beading around me. It’s how I relax and I truly love it.
I hand stitch everything I sell and it all starts with a needle and thread and seed beads.

Beadweaving
This is an ancient technique and has been used worldwide by many nations and cultures. I love that some of the stitches I use are still named after those people that developed it centuries ago.
If I had to say what makes my beadwork unique, corny as it sounds I would say me. I make things I think are beautiful, or fun, or both. I use the traditional techniques to combine colours and beads which I transform to make into modern and intricate shapes, sometimes bold sometime delicate.
